Niko 2206 - 22" LCD Monitor - 5ms Response Time - NIKO-2206 - Only 3 Units Left!!

Overall the product is a good buy. I did need to update my video card to get the correct resolution. Color has been ok and no lost pixels. I purchased in October of 2007 and as of yesterday "the check is getting mailed this week". I have heard this for 2 months. Depending on which service person you get help from,(I have only talked with two after 5 calls) you will get different answers. Again the product is fine, but I hope to never need service from their company.

Bought this monitor for my parents, both in their late 70's. They are very pleased with the clarity and brightness. Set up was very easy and no dead pixels. As stated in several other reviews, the speakers are not great but they are acceptable for everyday web use. Overall, good monitor for the price.

I took a chance on this one based on the great reviews and of course the low price after the $50 rebate was a big factor.....but I must say I am very impressed with the quality of the picture and it performs great with video streaming and gameplay too! I own Samsung, Acer, and Viewsonic LCDs and this is as good or better and MUCH bigger. Very happy customer here..... I did buy the extended warranty through squaretrade just to be on the safe side....

This monitor is working very well for me, One strange thing is, that the Built on date was JAN 2007 so it's was sitting around for 15 months before they shipped it out. So the warranty card is adressed to the old name of the company , and shows a 3 year warranty length. I think it's only 1 year now. It's tough to tell, the web site, and written info has lot's of yinglish, and the like. lets just hope we never need support. But I would buy again if the price is discounted from thier bigger rivals.

Nice monitor - well worth the price of $185 after the rebate (if it shows). Graphics look very good on it, impressive for movie watching - smooth and bright. I do have one dead pixel on the top right of the monitor that is a bit annoying when you are viewing a black screen it glows green. Other than that - worked nicely out of the box without issue.

I've had this monitor since last October and it's been working fine for me. It's nothing amazing but it's great for the price. My unit didn't have any stuck or dead pixels which says a lot for a bargain monitor. I haven't been able to use this with DVI because my laptop only has VGA out. The main thing I want to say is be patient with the rebate. They process them in house, so it takes them a while. I was able to call up a couple times and get the status of mine. I never got the run around or felt like they were trying to shaft me in any way. The rebate will come, just have some patience.

Works well. I selected this item over the other monitors available because of the $50 rebate offered. Mailed in the same day as item received via certified mail. When I called the phone # on the rebate form to verify that they received it, I found that the phone # is a bogus # (does not belong to this company).

This is the first time I bought a LCD monitor. I thought once I plug it in, it will work perfectly. To my surprise, I couldn't view pictures! It gives either black screen or gridlines. I turned to my friend for help. He changed some properties somewhere in the control panel and it worked. So for first time buyers, if you have the same problem, don't panic. My old monitor is an analog and reall old and big. ironically, I found that it offers more clear view of movies than this trendy LCD monitor. Next time, I will consider buying a LCD monitor with better resolution,contrast ratio and so on, even it means I have to pay a little more.

The monitor is great but the company behind it is not. It has been OVER 6 months -going to 7- and no rebate. Every time you call 909-598-6608 you are told it'll take another month even though on the rebate form it states 8-10 weeks. Without the reabate you're better off buying a name brand, since prices are similar.

I bought two of these for my kids multimedia machines so they could watch TV and play games. The shipping from buy.com was fast and the setup was very easy however, I did have to turn off the resolution warning messages in the monitor setup because they were annoying...other than that the product looks great and my kids love them.

I found one dead pixel... no wait that was a spec of dust! The only problem I found was the need to use sunglasses to prevent eyestrain from the BRIGHT screen, okay I turned the brightness down and now it is okay and I can discontinue the sun screen use also. But to be serious here, this is a great deal. I have a NIKO 32 HD monitor I bought two years ago for TV watching from Buy.com and it works great so figured I would get one of these for the computer. I also got a DVI cable and am running this at 1680 x 1050 using an HP M800n and a XFX 8600GT. The frame rate on EQII is about 70 to 80 frames per sec and it runs Flight Sim X with the details set at max like smooth silk. As for the rebate, don't sweat it, NIKO is slow but they will come through. Took about three months to get my last rebate from those guys, but XFX is about the same. They all say eight weeks but don't panic if it takes 12. If you get this monitor get the DVI cable and run it at the max resolution and have fun.

The niko 22" monitor is simple to setup and has been working great. I like the appearance when it's off and it just gets better when I turn it on. Buy.com and niko together provide a good experience.

I bought this monitor because for the price you can't beat it - at least if you get the "net" price for the device. Have had the monitor for about 4 months and so far no real problems other than I can't get the stated resolution when connected to my laptop. Now, here are the CON's: 1- four months and no rebate yet, even though they said it is coming, unbelievably slow and just hope I get it; 2 - this is not a big company that supports this - no 800 number and were virtually no help in solving my resolution issues; 3 - appears to be run out of a small office building somewhere in NoCal so support, customer service and rebates are handled "individuall" and as such are sporatic and take forever. All in all, I would buy a name brand next time and pay a little more - if for nothing more than the comfort of knowing if something goes wrong, I have a better chance of getting it resolved.

I am very pleased with the overall efficiency of this item. Response time is excellent, viewing is first class, built-in speakers better than anything I had before and it looks good as well.

i've had this monitor now for over a month. It's great. Sharp, clear, bright, no stuck pixels. The specs are great. No ghosting, does not leak light from the bezel. I've never plugged in the built in speakers (nor will I) so i cannot tell you how they sound. I'm extremely happy with the unit. I will be buying another of the same model shortly as a secondary monitor. I might add - BUY.COM has the best customer service i've seen in quite a while.

The first unit I received worked for 1 hour then went blank (Back light). Contacted Buy.com for an RMA to get it replaced (no refund available). They pay for shipping back which was very nice and I received the new working unit in about a 1 week (the whole process took about 2 weeks). As far as the new working one goes; there is some edge bleeding that can be seen when there is no video input and I have one dead pixel but neither is particularly troublesome. I don't use the speakers so I can't speak to that issue. The display is bright and has good contrast but the horizontal viewing angle isn't as good as other LCD's I have. The vertical viewing angle (side to side) is good. Under the theory “you get what you pay for” this unit is acceptable. One more thing, make sure your video card can do the 1680x1050 resolution that's needed for native resolution (any other resolution is not going to be very pleasant on the eyes). Mine couldn't and it cost me for a new video card.

THIS THING IS AWESOME -- very good price works perfect had for over a month. Resolution of 1680x1050. Easy to use looks great in Ubuntu Linux. I can say without a doubt you cant go wrong. Speakers in the thing work well for things like CNN or watching youtube vids. No complaints what so ever.

Monitor is pretty much what I expected for this price point. As long as you don't have it side-by-side with a high-end model I think you'll be quite pleased with its resolution and performance. But....it had one dead pixel in the upper center. Not usually visible, really only when the area around it is black. As I've bought quite a few flat-screen monitors over the years and this is the first dead pixel I've encountered, it's annoying at times. Otherwise, very pleased with it.

I was first amazed by the view size of the screen. It looks loog and it made a big difference in my computing world! Game-wise, it is also very impressive (I am a Flight Simulator fan. When I opened FSX with this screen, I thought it was a new version! I have had issues with the loss of configuration twice. I had to re-configure my screen resolution. And it is not good at all when you loose this config. I wonder if there is a solution for this problem. I did not see any dead pixel. Globally, it is a very good buy for someone that has been used to smaller scree
